Top 3 Cruise Destinations for Spring Break 2016

Are you ready for fun in the sun, sand in your toes, and drinks on the beach? Spring Break is almost here and that means it’s time to trade in your winter jacket for a bathing suit, sunglasses, and sandals. The best way to achieve this desired result is to cruise your way to a sunny destination on the beach! Read on for the top three destinations for spring break cruises.

It’s knowing where those sunny destinations are that tends to be theproblem. In some locations the weather is still a toss-up; March can still be relatively cold in certain places and we all know about those April showers. Not to worry, we’ve done our research on spring break cruises and know the best spots for the weather you are looking for this Spring Break!

Great Barrier Reef#1: Bahamas: There really isn’t a bad time, weather wise, to visit the Bahamas. It’s almost always in the 70s or 80s and hardly rains, but Spring Break season in the Bahamas is extremel y nice. You don’t have to worry about being too hot, rainy season in the Bahamas doesn’t begin until May, and you are months away from hurricane season in June.

You can expect the weather to have highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s, with very minimal rain; if you get any rain at all. The water will be cool, so if snorkeling or other water sports are on the agenda, bring a wet suit just in case.

Note: The Bahamas is the number 1 destination for college Spring Breakers across the U.S.A; so, expect it to be crowded. The Bahamas is also a favorite during this time of year for families. So, you should anticipate having a larger amount of children aboard spring break cruises than other times of the year. On the flip side, it’s also the time of year the Bahamas comes alive with special events and attractions.

australia#2: Australia: If you are looking for something a little softer during Spring Break, Australia is the perfect choice. You still get great weather with a much smaller crowd and much lower prices.

Summer in Australia ends in February, making March and April still warm yet not too hot! Australia is vast, and like America has different weather patterns depending on if you are in the North or South. During March and April the further North you are in Australia the warmer it will be.  You can expect to have highs in the 70s for the most part.

Note: If you are considering getting in the ocean you should know Spring Break is during stinger season. Stinger season in Australia occurs during their warmer months, making it a give/take situation. The good news is that stinger nets and stinger suits are available in abundance so that you really don’t have to miss out!

mexico 2#3: Mexico: Another Spring Break favorite is Mexico! Who doesn’t want to sip some margaritas on the beach in Cabo for Spring Break?  Once again you can anticipate a large crowd with lots of college kids and families. There is a reason for that, the weather is fabulous!

You can almost bank on having no rain, if you get any at all it would be a fluke. Expect the weather to be in the low 70s in places like Ensenada and mid 80’s in places closer to the equator like Puerto Vallarta.
