Top water activities to do in Nassau, Bahamas when on a cruise

From being the topic of a catchy Beach Boys’ song to the name of a tropical drink, the Bahamas has proven its worth in pop culture as one of the most luxurious getaways. Atlantis Aquaventure: Chances are you’ve heard of the Atlantis resort and have seen pictures of the breathtaking Mayan-inspired architecture.  For a fee, cruise passengers can spend the day exploring and “playing” at Atlantis. Their water park contains 20 swimming areas, 11 pools, amazing water slides, a fun one mile-long river ride and more! If you’re a true thrill-seeker, try riding the well-known six-story Mayan Temple, where you can plummet down a shark-filled lagoon. Or, if you simply want to rest and relax, try the lazy river ride. Both you and your kids will get a kick out of everything Atlantis has to offer!

Fishing: Whether you’re an avid fisherman, or new to the sport, you will find what you’re looking for in the Bahamas. This location is even known as one of the very best fishing destinations in the world! The serene waters of Nassau are famous for their abundance of blue marlin. You can opt to charter a boat for a day or half-day, or tackle fly-fishing on your own.

Snorkeling: In the words of Sebastian from the Disney classic “The Little Mermaid,” life under the sea is simply better. Do you want to explore the ocean?
