The best things to do in Auckland, New Zealand when on a cruise

Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand, and as you can imagine there is plenty to see and do. During your stop here while on your Australia & New Zealand cruise, you’ll have the opportunity to see Kiwi culture at its best.

The following suggestions for things to do in Auckland are in no way exhaustive of all that this city has to offer. Here are our top picks, from your friends at CruiseExperts.com:

Hike One Tree Hill– Once you reach the top of this volcanic cone, you will have a stunning 360-degree view of the city. The land that surrounds the hill is full of craters that children and adults will have fun exploring. Before you leave, be sure to visit Acacia Cottage, Auckland’s oldest wooden building, constructed in 1841.

Travel to the top of Sky Tower– The Sky Tower is the tallest structure in the Southern Hemisphere, and it’s pretty hard to miss. In less than 40 seconds, a high-speed elevator will take you up the building’s 1,100 feet for spectacular views of the city. If you’re feeling a bit adventurous, you can even bungee jump!
