Norwegian Cruise Line\u2019s all-new Cruise Norwegian app is here, loaded with features that make the entire cruise experience easier and more enjoyable.\u00a0 The next generation app, which is currently available for guests of Norwegian Sky, provides early booking features, onboard chat and message functionality, and much more.\u00a0 The travel staff at CruiseExperts.com tried the new Cruise Norwegian app to find out if it improved our cruise experience and the verdict was unanimous \u2013 we love it!\u00a0 Read our Norwegian app review<\/a> to find out how the app enhanced our cruise from initial booking to disembarkation.<\/p>\n

Before the cruise<\/h3>\n

The benefits of the Cruise Norwegian app start long before the cruise begins. With the new pre-cruise experience, travelers on Norwegian Sky<\/a> can preview and plan vacation options in advance of the cruise. We were able to preview, compare, and schedule shore excursions at all our stops, and make dining and entertainment reservations for onboard the cruise. We were even able to purchase wine, flowers, and special treats through the app to make romantic evenings extra special onboard!<\/p>\n

We loved being able to take care of all of these details before the cruise, so we didn\u2019t have to waste a moment of our time onboard. Embarkation was a breeze thanks to the Cruise Norwegian app. No fears about last-minute boarding hassles \u2013 the app gave us directions to the pier and then we checked in online using e-docs for an easy, paperless embarkation.<\/p>\n

During the cruise<\/h3>\n

Once we set off on the Norwegian Sky, we were able to stay connected with friends and family through unlimited onboard calls and messages, after a one-time fee of $9.95. Being able to arrange meet-ups and share photos on the cruise through Group Chat was a big plus! Calls to loved ones back home were just $0.79 per minute through the app.<\/p>\n

The Cruise Norwegian app provided a daily schedule of shipboard activities, so we didn\u2019t have to worry about missing out on any of the fun. Managing Norwegian\u2019s Freestyle dining choices through the app was much easier than using the kiosks. We were able to make reservations to enjoy the shows, entertainments, and spa treatments onboard, and shore excursions at our destinations.<\/p>\n

Disembarkation<\/h3>\n

With the Cruise Norwegian app, we were able to review our accounts and track onboard purchases, so there were no unpleasant surprises at the end of the trip. We used the Cruise Norwegian app to review immigration details and the Easy Walk-Off disembarkation process.\u00a0 Guests eager to plan their next trip can find information about Norwegian\u2019s Cruise Next program, and check their Latitude reward point counts and tier benefits.<\/p>\n

The complimentary Cruise Norwegian app is currently available for booked guests on Norwegian Sky cruises. The app will be available onboard the newest member of Norwegian\u2019s fleet , Norwegian Bliss, when she launches this summer.\u00a0 Guests on all other Norwegian cruise ships<\/a> will be able to use the Cruise Norwegian app by the end of 2018.<\/p>\n
