Oprah\u2019s Reading Room is designed to attract the fanatical readers that make up a large portion of Holland America Line\u2019s guest list. The first novel to be chosen for book discussions aboard the ships is \u201cAn American Marriage,\u201d by author Tayari Jones. To kick off the collaboration, Jones, author of \u201cLeaving Atlanta\u201d and \u201cSilver Sparrow,\u201d took part in a Caribbean cruise on March 3 of this year aboard the Nieuw Amsterdam. Though selections will change throughout the year, and cruisers can see the latest selection on the Holland America Line website, readers should bring their book aboard ship to take part in discussions led by members of the vessel\u2019s staff.<\/p>\n
