Day 1 Arrive in Amsterdam, Holland (Embarkation)

Welcome to Amsterdam. Your Avalon Waterways Suite Ship® is Ready for Boarding.

Flights arriving into Amsterdam must arrive by 3:30 pm in the afternoon and all cruise guests must be aboard the Suite Ship® by 5pm in the afternoon. There will be an onboard welcome reception for all river cruise guests.

Today you may adventure through the vibrant city of Amsterdam—with its lively streets, canals, and bridges—you will love exploring its abundance of glittering art galleries and cafés. During the beautiful and vibrant tulip season, you might enjoy joining in an Optional Excursion led by an expert guide to the glorious Keukenhof gardens—which boasts more than seven million tulips, hyacinths and daffodils, as well as many other bulbs that are planted every year.
