River Cruise Itinerary
Day-By-Day

Day 1 Piraeus (Athens) (Embark)
Upon arrival in Athens, you’ll be transported to the Seabourn Ovation, your luxurious vessel for the journey ahead. Settle into your new home and take advantage of the ship’s exceptional inclusions—from fine dining to unlimited premium beverages—or spend some free time ashore discovering the city at your own pace. Piraeus has been the port for Athens since 482 BC. The busy harbour is filled with ferries and cruise ships making their way to the Greek Islands and other Mediterranean cities. The busy metropolis of Athens and its treasure trove of antiquities lie just a few miles from the port.Day 2 Nafplion
Held to be one of the loveliest small towns in Greece, Nafplion has a tradition and culture all its own. The sheltered location, below a rocky headland crowned by a Venetian fortress, is perhaps unrivalled in Greece. After the Greek revolution of the early 19th century, Nafplion served as the first modern capital. The neoclassical houses, large official buildings, and carefully planned seafront streets all date from this period.Day 3 Day at Sea
Relax and enjoy a full day aboard your ultra-luxury ship. Lounge on deck, take in uninterrupted sea views, indulge in world-class cuisine, or sip a cocktail by the pool as the Mediterranean sun drifts overhead —a serene day designed for pure enjoyment.Day 4 Kotor
Kotor, Montenegro, is a town of medieval architecture and historic monuments, influenced by its time under the rule of the Republic of Venice. Set against a backdrop of majestic mountains, the scenery is second to none, so be sure to keep your camera handy. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the best-preserved medieval towns in the Adriatic.Day 5 Korčula
The Greeks once named this island “Dark Korčula” for its dense forests, which contrasted strikingly against the bright Adriatic Sea. It is the most populous of the Dalmatian isles off the coast near Dubrovnik. Its main port is a classic medieval Dalmatian walled stone town with round towers and red-tiled roofs, perfect for strolling through narrow cobblestone byways and discovering tiny plazas where they join.Day 6 Hvar
Known as the Queen of the Dalmatian Islands, Hvar blends medieval beauty with a glamorous modern-day appeal. With abundant sunshine, fragrant lavender fields, and crystal-clear waters, it has long drawn celebrities and royalty seeking summer pleasures. Hvar also boasts more UNESCO-listed heritage sites than any other island worldwide.Day 7 Vodice (Šibenik)
The Croatian town of Vodice features the familiar, red-tiled roofs and wide, stone seaside promenades of other Dalmatian ports. Beauty and history lurk around every corner, from historic churches and Roman-era ruins to attractive pebble beaches. Vodice is also an easy jumping point from which to access nearby hotspots, such as the seaside town of Šibenik or the waterfalls and pools of Krka National Park.Day 8 Piran (Koper)
From the beautifully preserved walled town of Piran, you can discover Slovenia’s remarkable cultural and natural heritage.Day 9 Fusina (Disembark), Venice (Embark)
It’s time to say goodbye to the Seabourn Ovation and make our way to Venice proper to board the S.S. La Venezia, where Uniworld’s crew are waiting to invite you aboard for a week of exceptional experiences in the lagoon.Day 10 Venice
With your early morning arrival at Doge’s Palace, you’ll be able to marvel at the estate in total peace. Wander through a Venetian neighborhood and experience daily life in an authentic Venetian residential quarter. Later in the evening, cap the day off with a private once-in-a-lifetime experience at an after-hours lighting ceremony inside St. Mark’s Basilica without the crowds.Day 11 Venice (Padua), Mazzorbo (Burano)
Start your morning in one of two of the Veneto region’s UNESCO World Heritage cities, Vicenza or Padua. In the afternoon, you'll reboard the ship for scenic sailing across the lagoon as we head towards Mazzorbo and Burano. In the evening, you may wish to take your free time to stroll into town to appreciate this charming island when most of the tourists have left for the evening. Burano’s brightly painted fishermen’s cottages are an artist’s dream —hot pink, chartreuse, orange, lemon yellow, and more.Day 12 Mazzorbo, Burano, Chioggia
Spend the day exploring the northern lagoon of Venice and its captivating islands. Start with a visit to Torcello's famous basilica with an art historian, then stroll through the agricultural island of Mazzorbo and the rainbow-hued island of Burano during your free time after lunch. Alternatively, you can take the afternoon to see the renowned glassblowing artisans of Murano at work.Day 13 Chioggia
Today, you’ll admire the greatest sites of charming and coastal Chioggia, including a stop at the local and lively market.Day 14 Chioggia, Venice
This morning, join a sailing excursion where you’ll explore the Po Delta where the Po River and the Adriatic Sea meet. Later, during lunch, we sail back to Venice.Day 15 Venice
As your water taxi glides past narrow side canals and the Canal Grande, you’ll arrive in style at the Rialto Bridge. The iconic stone arch bridge sits at the narrowest point of the Canal Grande and holds numerous shops and restaurants.Day 16 Venice (Disembark)
Disembark the ship. If you have arranged a Uniworld departure transfer, you will be transferred to Venice Marco Polo International Airport for your flight home.Having trouble deciding which cruise is right for you?
