When you’re having a good time, it’s easy to run up a large bar tab on your cruise ship. For the individual who plans to have a good time enjoying all the cruise ship experiences, including alcoholic beverages, cruise line drink packages might be a great deal. When you don’t have to be the “designated driver,” you can enjoy drinks by the pool, with your meal, while enjoying the entertainment, and while gambling, and with a drink package you know you won’t be shocked by your bill at the end of your cruise. Unless you are a one drink a day person, or prefer non-alcoholic beverages, a drink package is likely to save you considerable money. If one adult buys a drink package, some cruise lines require all adults in the same stateroom purchase the same package, while others do not.

You know that all of us at CruiseExperts.com want your trip to be perfect including having the beverages you want when you want them. Here’s a list of various cruise line drink packages to consider.

Carnival Cruise Line – Cheers! Beverage Program

Guests who are 21 and older can purchase Carnival’s all-inclusive beverage program, and all adults in the same stateroom must purchase the package. This program offers both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Carnival offers a pre-purchase ‘Cheers!’ beverage program before your cruise at a cost of $51.95 USD per person, per day, plus a 15% gratuity. An onboard purchase of ‘Cheers!’ is $56.95 USD per person, per day, plus an 18% gratuity. Any price adjustments (higher or lower) implemented on the departure date will replace the previously advertised price. The ‘Cheers!’ beverage program includes all spirits, cocktails, cognacs, whiskeys, beer, wine, champagne by the glass with a $20 US or lower menu price per serving. It also includes sodas, zero-proof cocktails, juices, and milkshakes where applicable. Moreover, Rockstar energy drinks, Powerade, Vitamin Water, Coconut Water and Honest Tea are also included.

Carnival also has a Bottomless Bubbles package which is $8.50 per day for adults and $5.95 per day kids. The package includes ice-cold refreshments during meals, shows and anytime you’d like. This unlimited soda program provides all-you-can-drink soda and juice throughout your entire cruise.

Bottled water purchases can also include a 12-pack of bottled water (16.9 fluid ounce bottle) for $4.50, 1 large bottled water (50.72 fluid ounce bottle) for $3.75, and an 8-pack of bottled water (50.72 fluid ounce bottle) for $20.
