Dining Tips for Food on Carnival Cruises

One of the most unknown perks of being a passenger on Carnival Cruise Lines is the ability for each guest to carry on 1 bottle of wine or champagne when the cruise initially disembarks. While a corkage $15 fee per 750 ml bottle would apply if you brought the bottle into the dining room, guests can easily enjoy morning mimosas in their rooms after ordering orange juice from room service.

If you’re looking for beverage options, buying a ‘Cheers! Bar beverage program,’ can help guests enjoy a variety of wine, beer and spirits for a flat rate price based on the length of the cruise. Gusts on Carnival sailings can also reserve dinner on the first sailing day and receive a free bottle of house wine or 50% off a premium wine bottle.

When looking for the best Carnival cruise food, it’s hard to beat the delicious options available at Carnival’s Steakhouse. If you’re craving something off the traditional menu and for only a $20 surcharge, all passengers can upgrade their meals to include a filet mignon, Maine lobster, or a New York strip steak.
