  • Canceled Cruises – Cruises to and from mainland China have been canceled by all cruise lines, and many have been canceled through the month of March 2020. If you have booked a cruise to or from China in March or April, it will be necessary to contact your cruise line or agent to obtain information that is current at that time.
  • Will My Upcoming Cruise be Affected? – You will be expected to complete the normal pre-cruise health form. Additionally, you might have your temperature taken when you board. If you have a fever that is higher than 100.4F and/or are showing signs of respiratory distress/illness, you may be denied boarding. Persons who become ill with respiratory issues during a cruise will likely be evaluated for coronavirus by the medical staff. Ports of call are also doing their part to eliminate the spread of coronavirus and you may be subject to disembarking screenings for fevers. When there are any reports of a ship having passengers with a respiratory illness on board, some ports are turning the ships away.
  • Will Travel Insurance Cover Me if I decide to Cancel Travel insurance coverage may or may not cover virus outbreaks onboard a cruise ship, depending on the type of policy purchased. “Cancel for Any Reason” policies may offer some level of cancellation protection if the trip is canceled two or more days before departure. We recommend you call your travel insurance agent as they are best qualified to answer your questions. Call your travel agent if your purchased insurance through them.
