- Will Travel Insurance Cover Me if I decide to Cancel Travel insurance coverage may or may not cover virus outbreaks onboard a cruise ship, depending on the type of policy purchased. “Cancel for Any Reason” policies may offer some level of cancellation protection if the trip is canceled two or more days before departure.
