However, although you may feel inclined to take your vacation in June or July, you should know that you can have just as great of a time if you go in May or even through the middle of September. Not only is the weather still mild enough to take advantage of all that Alaska has to offer, the cities are also likely to be far less crowded and the longer nights make it more likely you’ll have a chance to witness the famed Northern Lights.
