Norwegian Cruise Lines completed the $30 million renovation on Pride of America

Norwegian Cruise Lines’ Pride of America  is the only ship in NCL’s fleet that is permanently home ported in Hawaii.  Starting in Honolulu every Saturday it makes stops during its 7 day itinerary on all four major islands. The 2,186 passenger ship was recently dry-docked and renovated to the tune of $30 million in only 14 days.

They’ve also added two Deluxe Penthouse Suites that sleep up to six people with a larger balcony. Perfect for a girl’s weekend or a large family. If you really want to step it up, there are two new Owner’s Suites that sleep up to ten people. Each comes with a 1,200 square foot balcony which is officially the largest balcony in the Norwegian fleet. That’s a lot of outdoor, fresh air, amazing view space.

The Penthouse and  Owner’s Suites come with a personal butler and concierge, and the beds have “Tranquility” mattresses from the Bliss Collection by Norwegian. There is also a Lavazza Espresso Maker in the room. Luxurious Elemis bath products are featured in the staterooms as well.  But best of all—private dining is available in the beautifully decorated suite or on the spacious balcony for breakfast and lunch.

If you’re traveling solo or just prefer your own room, then you’ll love the new single studios which feature a luxurious room with a full-size bed, and a separate bathroom all priced for one. If you haven’t heard, most cruise lines charge a “single supplement” for solo cruisers. Read our blog “What is a single supplement?”  for an explanation on that subject.
