Pier 76 Long Beach: Top 3 Places to Eat in Long Beach before Your Cruise

Pier 76 Fish Grill: The founders of this amazing restaurant had a fantastic theme in mind. Healthy food that not only tastes amazing but served at affordable prices! Ingredients are fresh and local which is obvious when you take your fist bite. The menu offers everything from burgers to lobster which is sure to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. To top it off the service is quick and hospitality is top notch.

I have to add that I love Pier 76 Fish Grill’s link to America and the sea. One their homepage you can read the story of how two young men, Chris and Mike, brought this restaurant to fruition by combining their love for the ocean and America into a fabulous restaurant concept. For me it added a personal touch to what is already a fabulous restaurant.

Located at 95 Pine Ave., Pier 76 Fish Grill is within walking distance to the port making this eatery easily accessible for those who do not want to travel far from the port.

Callaloo

Callaloo

Callaloo Caribbean Kitchen: Looking for a new flavor? Callaloo has it! If you haven’t tried Caribbean cuisine this is the place to go, after you’ll be hooked! The reviews on this restaurant are impressive and Callaloo has been featured on several social media sites recommending their restaurant for its Trinidad style Caribbean cuisine.

I highly recommend the jerk chicken at Callaloo. There is just something about it that keeps the foodies coming back again and again! Callaloos also features a great Facebook page that includes behind the scenes videos for their fans to see what’s going on in the kitchen!

Callaloo Caribbean Kitchen features a casual atmosphere located not too far from the port at 4137 E. Anaheim St.

Queensview Steakhouse at Parkers Lighthouse: Looking for something a little more upscale? Perhaps the cruise you are embarking on is to celebrate a romantic occasion? If a posh, romantic atmosphere with a gorgeous view and fabulous cuisine is what you are looking for Queensview Steakhouse is the place.

Located on the 3rd floor of the Parkers Lighthouse, the views from Queens are awe inspiring. I recommend visiting Queensview the evening before your ship embarks because the dusk view in this restaurant is something you will not likely forget. With 360 degree views, who could!

Queensview doesn’t slack on the ambience either. They have live Tuesday through Saturday and Jazz inspired happy hour drinks. I must note too that the staff at this restaurant is very attentive and will help to ensure you leave feeling like royalty.

Queensview Steakhouse serves not only the finest quality steaks and poultry but fresh native sea food and shellfish!  You will not be disappointed. I recommend the Filet Mignon Oscar with King Crab.  My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
