Learn About Changes to  Royal Caribbean Loyalty Program Rewards

royal-caribbean-loyalty-programRecent changes to Royal Caribbean’s Crown & Anchor Loyalty Club may have you rethinking the way you book your next cruise.  Premium cruise lines are famous for offering great benefits to their repeat customers through cruise loyalty programs. These reward programs offer a long list of tiered perks that includes discounted booking rates, exclusive promotions, and complimentary on-board amenities. Which cruise line has the best loyalty program depends on your cruising habits and desired destinations. The alterations Royal Caribbean has made to their Crown & Anchor Club rewards program may mean a different cruise loyalty program would be a better fit for you.  How these changes affect you is determined by your booking practices and which tier level you currently occupy.

Increased top-tier loyalty rewards

Reward benefits have increased for Pinnacle members of RCCL’s Crown & Anchor Club. Loyalty club members who qualify for top-tier status now enjoy a $25 increase in discounts when they book a balcony or suite. With the updated discounts, Pinnacle members now save $175 on 3-5 night cruises, $275 on 6-9 night cruises, and $375 on all cruises of 10 nights or more.

Changes to booking discounts

As long as you book your cruise more than six months before the sailing date, you will be eligible for the discount. That means you can still upgrade your reservation within six months of departure without losing the discount. You can also take advantage of Royal Caribbean’s “Decide Later” program to choose your cruise destination within six months of departure, as long as you made your booking more than six months in advance.
