Carnival Sunrise was Carnival Triumph
This was an extensive and expensive upgrade that transformed the Carnival Triumph into the Carnival Sunrise. The ship was in dry dock in Cadiz, Spain from March 1 through April 28. The new Carnival Sunrise has all new cabins and 115 new suites and staterooms, public areas, lounges, and much more.

The Sunrise rejoined the fleet as a new ship and is based out of New York. Beginning October 28, 2019, the Sunrise will offer Caribbean and Bahamas cruises from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
