American Queen Steamboat Company River Cruises introduces the American Countess™
The American Queen Steamboat Company has added the American Countess™ to its authentic paddlewheel line of riverboats for 2020. This new river-cruising option offers itineraries in the Heartland and Deep South of America similar to her sister riverboats the American Queen and American Duchess. This amazing riverboat had 60 feet added to an existing hull and underwent a significant reconstruction process creating a gorgeous paddlewheel that will give you an unparalleled experience on the rivers of America.
The cabins and general decor in the new American Countess is a return to the classical style found on the American Queen and American Empress and will feature inside and balcony staterooms. Several small lounges accommodate traveling groups and charters. You can expect included shore excursions at every port. These excursions will be provided by the American Queen Steamboat Company’s own fleet of motor coaches. You’ll find most itineraries include a pre-cruise hotel stay.
The American Countess has four decks which include the Sun Deck and 123 modern staterooms, a theater featuring Broadway caliber entertainment in the evenings, the Grand Dining Room (award-winning culinary team), the casual River Grill, the Fitness Center, and the Cardroom for gathering with fellow travelers, getting acquainted, and conversing about the days events.
The American Countess can be your home away from home on itineraries ranging from 6 to 15 days, including her own epic Mighty Mississippi Cruise starting at the genesis of the river all the to fabulous New Orleans, with exciting stops all along the way. Dinners onboard include complimentary beer and wine, and complimentary cappuccino, espresso, bottled water, and soft drinks are included in all American Countess voyages.
