Cunard Line’s Queen Elizabeth will be adding a maiden port call, San Pablo de Manta, Ecuador, in 2018. Located almost directly on the equator, Manta is a shining city on Ecuador’s Pacific shoreline that offers historic treasures and a beautiful beach perfect for water sports. A short drive to nearby Montecristi takes you to tour the factory where the iconic hats mistakenly known as “Panama” hats are created. Glengarriff, Ireland

Visitors to this UNESCO World Heritage Site can view an ancient Roman amphitheater, lion’s gate, and an enormous Byzantine basilica, second only to Istanbul’s Hagia Sophia. MSC is still adding expeditions to their Saranda port call, and expected  trips include a Saranda city tour, tours of the Albanian countryside, and tours of the magnificent Stone City of Gjirokastra.

 

Monterey, California
