Meet the New Riverboats from American Cruise Lines!
American River Cruises Go to the Next Level with New Luxury Vessels
If you love riverboats and river cruising, then you may already be familiar with American Cruise Lines. The company’s luxurious and intimate vessels bring guests on noteworthy river cruise vacations along the Mississippi River, throughout New England, to explore Alaska and the Pacific Northwest and much more. And now the notable company is treating their fans to something special, a new class of modern riverboats. Five contemporary and well-appointed riverboats are set for construction and will be used for exciting American river cruise itineraries.
The first of the five riverboats is set to embark in 2018 and will have the capacity to hold 200 passengers. One standout feature of this American Cruise Line vessel will be that it will encompass the largest staterooms of any riverboat in America. This boat’s design will include only two staterooms going across the width of the ship. Most riverboats typically fit three or four staterooms in this size area, making the new design unique. In addition, all staterooms will feature lavish private balconies and outward facing staterooms.
The new American Cruise Lines ships will be constructed at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Maryland. Plus, on top of slating these five new riverboats for construction, American Cruise Lines recently finished the assembly of its latest coastal ship, the American Constellation. This beauty holds 175 guests and travels to New England, the Hudson River, and the Southeast. Many cruisers enjoy this vessel because it can access stunning and exciting ports that larger cruising vessels can’t reach. Plus, with private balconies, and intimate and cozy atmosphere, enormous staterooms, and luxury lounges and observation decks, every vacation is comfortable and unforgettable.
