The buzz is never ending when it comes to Carnival Cruise Lines sensational happenings. Whether it’s a new production studio to fine-tune its entertainment offerings, the building of a one-of-a-kind Grand Bahama cruise port, continuous deploying of state of the art luxury liners, launch of a brewery or another decadent restaurant, carnival cruise deals are second to none. But beyond all that; carnival is a cruise line that strives to exceed guest expectations by going above and beyond cruising demands.
Here are some of the biggest headlines from Carnival Cruise Lines:
Construction is Underway for a Carnival Port in the Bahamas!
As the year-round cruising leader and with a regular Bahama port of call, Carnival Cruise Line has plans to develop one of the largest purpose-built cruise facilities in partnership with the Bahamian government. This cruise port will be funded and operated by Carnival Cruise lines and feature a one-mile beach, various recreational amenities, food, beverage and shopping outlets. In addition to creating a one-of-a-kind experience for cruisers, Carnival’s Cruise Line president Christine Duffy said this multimillion-dollar project will also provide a significant boost to the Bahamian economy.
New Ships to Sail in 2017
Launching new ships is not a novel experience for Carnival cruise lines. From 2015 launches of the Carnival Breeze, Carnival Magic, and Carnival Vista is being heralded as one of the line’s most unique. During its inaugural season from May to October 2016, Carnival Vista sailed the Mediterranean before being repositioned to New York and then to her Miami homeport last November. According to a cruise report, Carnival Vista has a whole new relationship to the sea that promise cruisers a distinctive cruising experience. Features of the Carnival Vista includes among innumerable other entertainment and services…
- The SkyRide at SportSquare which is a twin-track suspended bike that has also been described as a flying bicycle. Guest get to race with other cruisers to a win or simply to enjoy the panoramic views.
- The Havana Bar & Pool is a classic Cuban-retreat for the sheer pleasure of total relaxation while sipping traditional cocktails.
- Carnival WaterWorks is most likely one of the most exciting features for both adults and kids. It is the largest water park of the entire Carnival Fleet with hundreds of feet of spiraling water slides. It is described as one of the fastest, wettest rides you’ll find anywhere. Carnival WaterWorks configurations can vary on other ships but on Carnival Vista it features a 455′ long “Kaleidoscope” slide that is complete with music and flashing lights, a 300’ Twister Waterslide, a 300-gallon Power Drencher, a multifaceted splash zone and mini racer slides for children.
New Shore Excursions with Purpose
When it comes to carnival Caribbean cruise destinations it is more about the experience than price comparisons, state rooms and beverage offerings. For instance, Carnival’s “Give Back with Purpose” program is a charity shore excursion that is designed to create a memorable connection for cruisers with the locations they visit. The Carnival give back with purpose tours began initially in Cozumel but has expanded to Amber Cove, Montego Bay, San Juan, Puerto Vallarta and Belize City. Cruisers get an upfront experience of these destinations that the average tourist rarely see as well as enjoy authentic meals at local restaurants.
Entertainment Will Not Disappoint!

To further emphasize this premise, the line recently unveiled its new studios in Miami, Florida where production teams will have five full-stage dance studios, eight dedicated music studios, new offices and other dedicated spaces for the conceptualization and rehearsals of new and exciting entertainment programs.
The entertainment line-up for 2018 also promise to take a ’90s twist with four-day Ship Hop cruises beginning with an “I Love the 90’s Tour” that will sail from Miami to Key West and Cozumel January 11 to 15, 2018.
